The Tri-Sort Recycling System from Western Chutes works to automatically sort materials from your waste chute into a chute-fed compactor and/or rubbish collection bin. The Tri-Sort system allows for sorting of three different types of waste materials.

You may add the RAM-10 compactor to this system, if your site does not have an existing, compatible compactor. The RAM-10 will utilize the same power pack as the Tri-Sort Recycling System, saving space and simplifying the operation. See related items below for RAM-10 compactor add-on.

In a system without a compactor, a photo eye on the diverter detects a full hopper, and will lock the intake doors, preventing users from over-filling the Tri-Sort hopper. When a compactor is included in the system, this is accomplished via pressure sensors in the compactor.

Your choice of pushbutton controls or a PLC panel added to each chute intake door allow the user to select which type of material will be discarded, and the Recycling System diverts the waste accordingly to the designated receptacle or compactor.
