18"x18" Bottom Hinged Intake Door with 24vac Electrical Interlock, "W" Series
18"w x 18"h Bottom hinged, hand-operated, self-closing, positive latching, chute intake door assembly complete with 24vac electrical interlock. Door bears a UL Label with a clear listing of 1-1/2 hour, 30 minute - 250 degree max temperature rise. Includes replaceable pull handle, thumb trigger style latch, enclosed door closer, removable 1/2” shaft hinge with bronze bearings, removable door panel and stainless steel trim. Door panel made with 22 gauge type 304 stainless steel front with 18 gauge galvannealed steel back with 3/16” prime painted steel angle door frame. The door closer is mounted outside to the trash opening in a fully enclosed heavy duty box accessible from the front to ensure years of trouble free operation. Stainless Steel trim available blank or embossed with "Rubbish", "Soiled Linen", or "Recycle".

Includes a 24vac electrical interlock with push button and in-use indicator light. The electrical interlock box measures 17-1/4" wide by 3-5/16" high. Interlocks allow only one door open at a time to reduce clogging and enhance safety during peak usage periods. User must unlock the door by pressing the button then operating the latch or handle separately. Interlocks are designed to be normally locked so that in a power failure doors can not be opened. This also allows all doors to be locked out by turning off the power switch when working beneath the chute, greatly reducing liability and injuries.

Our 24vac electrical interlocked, chute-intake doors are engineered for use on a Class 2 circuit; therefore the intake door electrical panels and components are UL listed. Wiring is with exposed (no conduit required) cable inside the shaft in most applications. Check with your local building authority regarding installation requirements. Requires power supply for operation. Power supply is available for up to 20 doors or 20-40 doors. Systems for taller buildings or more than 40 doors are available.

Can be retrofitted to others chutes with sheet metal adaptors and wall modifications to fit chute door openings for doors of the same size. However, interlock compatibility must be determined prior to ordering as a replacement. Complies with building codes, NFPA-82 and ASTM standards.
