Valiant Type "H" hopper discharge assembly with top hinged, counter balanced, fire rated, vertical discharge door. The cabinet style hopper provides a 90 degree radius sweep at the bottom of the chute. It is made of #16 gauge galvannealed steel to fit a 30” diameter chute. The hopper bottom is supported by a pedestal support made of 1-1/4” x 1-1/4” perforated tubing (not included).

The 30” wide by 36” high door bears an Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. Class "B", 1-1/2 hour, 250 degree temperature rise Chute Type Fire Door Label. The door is equipped with two eye bolts on the side of the door panel for attaching a 165 degree fusible link hold-open (not included) designed to melt when the ambient temperature reaches 165 degrees. This action closes the door to stop fire from traveling up the chute into the building. The door assembly includes one “T”-style latch in the center on the bottom of the door panel.

Chute discharge doors are not designed to be used to shut off the chute. This assembly should be used for light duty applications only as the bottom is not reinforced. For heavy duty applications, see our 30” “W” series hopper with reinforced bottom and three latches.
